How long before the event are the marquees installed and how long afterwards are they removed?
The hire prices are based on a standard 5 day hire. Installation generally takes place on a Wednesday or Thursday and the marquees are taken down on the following Monday or Tuesday; however, we do try and be as flexible as possible and work around the customer's needs.
What is White Tent Events able to provide?
Our core business is marquee and furniture hire. We provide everything linked to the marquee such as carpets, lights, dance floors etc. We also offer full furniture hire from tables and chairs to easels and food preparation tables. In addition to marquees and furniture, toilet units and generators can also be provided.
How many people can you marquees hold?
We can cater for up to about 400 people seated with a dance floor area and bar.
My garden is not very flat and an irregular shape, would it still be possible to have a marquee?
White Tent Events offers a free site survey service. This allows us to have a look at the potential customer's garden and discover what is possible and what is not. Generally we can cater for any shape of garden by linking a couple of marquees together, for example, to form a 'T' shape. We also have the capability to flatten uneven lawns to make them suitable for a marquee. In the past we have even built marquees over swimming pools and in other cases accommodated for ponds inside the marquee!
What provisions can you make for bad weather?
All of our marquees are modern clearspan marquees. Solid wooden floors and glass patio doors can be installed to make them completely water tight. The heaters we use during the winter are all thermostatically controlled which means the temperature of the marquee can be kept constant during any event. Marquees can also be guttered up to a building, so if the weather is bad guests can avoid getting wet when travelling between a building and the marquee.
How much choice and flexibility can we have over what the inside of the marquee looks like?
As the marquees are all tailored to the customers requirements they have free reign as to what the interior looks like. The stand linings we use are ivory with any choice of valance colour. However different colour linings can be installed on request.
How long before the event to I need to book White Tent Events?
We encourage early bookings to avoid disappointment, however, if we have the equipment available we will always do our best to hire it out, regardless of how close to the actual event we have been contacted.
What are my payment options?
We take a 20% holding deposit to confirm any booking and full payment prior to the event (cheques must be cleared before the installation) we then refund your holding deposit after the event. We accept payment by cheque, cash, or BACS.
What access do White Tent Events require to the marquee site?
As long as there is room for a person to walk through an entrance way this should be enough access for us to the marquee site. However, if there is a large distance from where we can park our lorries to where the marquee is being installed an additional labour charge may be incurred.
